These terms govern your use of Pocket Ledger ("the app"), developed by Syed Kamran Abbas Zaidi. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

Using the App
Pocket Ledger is a personal budget and expense tracking tool. You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for any financial decisions you make based on it. The app is a tool to help you track and organize your own finances — it is not financial, tax, or investment advice.

Your Account and Data
Your transactions, budgets, and categories are stored on your device and, if enabled, synced through your personal iCloud account. You are responsible for keeping your Apple ID and device secure, since that is what protects access to your data.

Shared Groups
If you create or join a shared group, any expenses and details you add to that group become visible to the other members you or they have invited. You're responsible for choosing what you share within a group and who you invite to it. We're not responsible for disputes between group members over shared expenses.

Pocket Ledger Premium
Some features require an active Pocket Ledger Premium subscription, purchased and managed entirely through Apple's In-App Purchase system. By subscribing, you also agree to Apple's standard End User License Agreement:

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase, or when a free trial period ends.
You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime under Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions on your device.
Refunds are handled by Apple according to their own refund policies, not by us directly.
Free Trial
The monthly Premium plan may include a free trial period, as shown on the subscription screen at the time of purchase. Unless cancelled before the trial ends, you will automatically be charged the full subscription price when the trial period is over.

Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the app — for example, attempting to interfere with its normal operation, reverse-engineer it, or use it for anything unlawful.

No Warranty
Pocket Ledger is provided "as is." While we do our best to keep it accurate and reliable, we don't guarantee the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or perfectly suited to every use. You use the app at your own discretion.

Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including financial decisions made using information tracked in the app.

Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
